Support The Arts

We believe that Art is a necessity, not a luxury, and we are passionate about ensuring that artistic and cultural opportunities are available to the entire community—not to just a privileged few.

Event proceeds from the Shining Stars luncheon will help carry on Arts Council Northeast’s outstanding community arts programs such as:

  • Visual and performing arts concerts free and open to the public through the MasterWorks Concert Series. For the last 35 years our MasterWorks concerts have been enthusiastically received. In 2016 there were 65 concerts attended by over 25,000 people. Check out the upcoming 2017 concerts series here.
  • Summer Arts College—served over 7,200 students since 1995 with 2697 attending on partial discount or full scholarships. The Arts Council works with Community Enrichment Center, GRACE, The Gatehouse and Summer Santa, as well as our local Independent School District to ensure any child interested in attending has the opportunity, and no child was turned away due to financial hardships. The Arts Council holds one full scholarship camp each year of Summer Arts College for disadvantaged children served by The Community Enrichment Center located in North Richland Hills. This is a unique opportunity for children 6-16 to be immersed in the Arts.
  • Art on Wheels – provides the opportunity to residents at senior centers to participate in art classes. Professional art teachers lead the classes and provide a hands-on experience that encourages everyone to unleash their inner artist and create something of their own.
  • Arts-related Grants—over $943,270 with matching grants totaling over 1.8 million for the arts since 1995 benefiting at-risk youth, school children, senior citizens and emerging arts groups and touching the lives of over 150,000 North Tarrant County citizens last year alone.

Be an advocate by bringing the Arts to your community.

Event proceeds from the Shining Stars Luncheon go to Arts Council Northeast to keep the Arts alive in the 16 North Tarrant and Southern Denton County cities served.
